Deli Assistant - Part-Time

MACE Newcastle West is currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Part-Time Deli Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve fresh deli products to customers

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety

  • Ensure deli counters and work areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked

  • Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with their queries

  • Monitor product quality and rotate stock as required

  • Support the wider store team when needed

Job requirements

  • Availability to work Thursday to Sunday, daytime shifts

  • Friendly, reliable, and able to work as part of a team

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Previous deli, retail, or food service experience would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided

  • Willingness to learn and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
