Cake Decorator - Full Time

Lynch’s Bakery, Mace, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow, R93DX62 are Looking for a Full Time Cake Decorator to join our team of Confectioners in our Production Facility in Co. Carlow.

We are looking to hire a skilled cake decorator to design and decorate Birthday & Occasion cakes according to customers' specifications and preferences and assist the bakery on day to day running of our busy bakery. We are looking for a cake decorator, who keeps up to date with the latest styles, techniques, and trends in cake decoration. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate creativity & attention to detail.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

• Designing and decorating celebration cakes according to Orders
• Manage all mixing of colours for icings and make sugar ornaments.
• Ability to produce high quality, high volume cakes
• Ensures quality control of all products before sending to Retail Outlets.
• Decorating regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
• Assisting baking staff with the production of standard bakery items.
• Producing different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type and customer preferences.
• Cleaning and sanitising all work areas and ovens as well as baking and decorating equipment

Cake Decorator Requirements:

• Proven baking and cake decorating experience.
• The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
• Detail-oriented.
• Artistic and creative.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team environment.
